Tengdaiyuan Memorial in Mayang

Tengdaiyuan memorial hall is located at 59 Youyi Road, Gaocun Town, Mayang Miao Autonomous County, 65 kilometers away from Huaihua City and 32 kilometers away from Fenghuang County. It is one of the patriotic education bases in Hunan Province and a national AAA tourist attraction.

The foundation of the memorial was laid in April 1986 and opened on January 2, 1986. The structure of the memorial is a two-story modern palace style antique building, covering an area of 6.13 mu. The main building area is 1688 square meters, with a total of 14 exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of 420 square meters. The acoustic and photoelectric decoration of the exhibition hall is luxurious, and the exhibition design is novel, which also reaches the leading level in China. The memorial hall displays 280 life photos of Teng Daiyuan and 66 cultural relics. It fully reflects the outstanding historical contributions made by Comrade Teng Daiyuan during the period of new democratic revolution and socialist construction.

There are more than 300 pictures, photos, letters, manuscripts, documents and cultural relics in the exhibition room, which reflect the life story of Teng Daiyuan. The name of tengdaiyuan memorial hall was inscribed by Hu Huibang, the former CPC Central Committee. Since its opening 12 years ago, the museum has been awarded the "patriotic education base" by the Propaganda Department of Huaihua City of CPC and Mayang county. In 2005, it was rated as a national AAA tourist attraction.
