Jiulonggou, a provincial scenic spot, is located in Sanlang Town, northwest of Chongzhou city. It is named after the myth of "nine ditches, nine troughs and nine dragons". This area is the fault zone in front of the mouth of Longmen Mountain. The geological structure is complex. The mountains fluctuate between 700m and 3868m above sea level. The relative height difference is large. The cliffs are steep. There are many waterfalls, deep gullies and narrow valleys. There are many dragon like strange peaks, rocks and waterfalls. The sound of water and stone striking each other in Jiulong Valley is like a dragon chanting like a dragon roaring, the boulder lying like a dragon plate like a dragon sleeping, and the mountain peak standing like a dragon leaping like a dragon lying. It is a living "Dragon Palace on earth". There is a legend among the people in Chongzhou that "Nine Dragons travel from jiulongchi, meet at Jiulongshan, return to jiulonggou and settle down, and leave nine dragons in jiugou and jiucao on the Dragon licking stone".

Jiulonggou scenic area covers an area of 175 square kilometers, including 32 square kilometers of sightseeing area. It is composed of jiulonggou Shuishi scenic area, Daxishan primeval forest scenic area and ancient temple. The dynamic Shuishi landscape of jiulonggou is the most fascinating, and it is the main part of the scenic area, including fossil rock, Zhenzhuquan Longshi, Longnu Huansha pool, Longyan stone, zuandifeng, xiangshuigou, Jiulong waterfall and so on Among them, the "Jiulong waterfall" formed by Longnu melting snow is more than 10 meters wide and more than 100 meters high, which is an uncommon waterfall in Chengdu. The grand ancient temple hidden in the dense forest is a well preserved and large-scale ancient temple in the mountains of Chengdu. There are rare animals such as giant panda, golden monkey and gazelle in the original forest belt of Daxishan mountain. The vast forest sea is full of strong wild interest.

Liuding mountain, the main peak of jiulonggou Valley, is a gathering of dragons. At an altitude of 2686 meters, it has magnificent scenery such as sea of clouds, sunrise, moonlight, and Buddha light. It also has a wonderful view of yin and Yang world, which is full of green and jade trees and flowers. The beautiful shadow of Siguniang mountain, which is covered with snow all the year round, is clearly visible. On a sunny day, you can have a panoramic view of the Chengdu Plain from the summit; on a night view, the lights on the plain are as bright as stars, making it difficult to separate heaven and earth. Unfortunately, in the May 12 Wenchuan earthquake, jiulonggou has been seriously damaged, and all scenic spots have disappeared. Due to the possibility of debris flow and landslide, the scenic spot has been blocked.
