Gouxi River

Gouxi river originates from Liangxi township of Cangxi (I don't know who wrote this Liangxi Township, which makes people think it's really called Liangxi on the Internet. It has been renamed Shuanghe Township many years ago. Now it is called Shuanghe township of Cangxi County. The qiaopan mountain flows through Longquan, Qianfo, Shitan, Miaogo and Funong in Langzhong. It flows into Jialing River at Hexi Town. It is 79 km long in Langzhong, with a drainage area of 65839 hectares, including 23356.1 hectares of forest land and 40.1% of forest coverage. Especially in Miaogou, Funong and Hexi, the river bed is U-shaped and the river is clear. At the turning of the river, a wide natural lake is formed. There are 129 species of wild animals in gouxihe wetland reserve. Among them, there are a variety of animals under national second level protection and provincial key protection. There are 95 species of birds, including owl, crow, brown breasted bamboo chicken, pheasant, Dongji, mandarin duck, egret, etc.; 7 species of amphibians, including turtle, turtle, giant salamander, otter, etc.; 8 species of reptiles, including chessboard snake, gecko, Agkistrodon acutus, Golden Snake, etc.; 19 species of mammals, including red fox, wild boar, coconut cat, civet, etc. Especially in the weirs of several reservoirs, there are more egrets, white cranes and wild ducks, often dozens or hundreds of them swimming on the water surface or flying in the mountains and forests on the shore. There are more abundant trees and plants in the hilly areas along the coast. Among them, there are 461 species of trees belonging to 126 genera and 64 families, which is the most concentrated and best protected wild vegetation area in northern Sichuan. In the Hexi and miaogao sections of the Gouxi River Wetland Reserve, the river is green and the flow rate is gentle. You can take a small wooden boat to paddle and roam among them. You can enjoy the green trees, green peaks and farmlands on both sides of the river. It's really a "paradise".

Flexible construction of river

Gouxi river is a paradise for egrets. Sancha River, a tributary of Gouxi River, has the most concentrated egrets and is known as "Egret paradise". More than 30000 egrets and herons live together. Every morning and evening, the sky on the river is "vast white", which is quite spectacular. When the boat arrived at Sanchahe, egrets began to appear on cypress trees and bamboo branches, and the sound of Gaga gradually came to our ears. There was a little commotion in the woods, and the calls came one after another. Through the sky between the treetops, you can see the figure of the heron circling.

From Hexi Town to chenjiatan, the river is green and the flow rate is gentle. You can take a small wooden boat and paddle through it. You can enjoy the green trees, green peaks and farmlands on both sides of the river and feel like a "paradise".

At that time, Du Fu described here: "the sky is clear, the wind is rolling, the grass is green, the water is connected with the pool", "there is a path, the sands are soft, no one is green, the grass is fragrant". At a small ferry by the river, there is a small wooden boat. On the Bank of the river, buffaloes bow their heads to eat grass, and smoke rises from the roofs of people's houses.

Cultural construction of the river

Along the Gouxi River, Langzhong has six towns, Longquan (corolla, Gouxi), Qianfo, Shitan, Miaogo, Funong and Hexi, all of which are century old towns. Qianfochang town was built in the Ming Dynasty. Gouxi river is like a "U" word around the town, winding around the qianfochang town. It is located on the Bank of the southeast bridgehead of the town. It is basically a complete stone sculpture of Qianfoyan cliff in the Tang Dynasty. The stone bridge, called "zhushiba bridge" by the local people in the southeast of the town, is said to have been built in the Qing Dynasty. Facing the direction of incoming and outgoing water, the original stone carving dragon head on the pier looks high. The traditional banquet known as "Thousand Buddha water banquet" is a local unique one. The eight bowls of Tuozi meat, salted and boiled white, steamed glutinous rice and so on are full of praise. The small fish "chuandingzi" caught from Gouxi river is delicious after being crispy fried. Drink some local brewing Laobaigan grain wine, and you will feel like a fairy when you are drunk. In the small teahouse built near the river, you need a cup of tea, but you can't see the boats coming and going on the river.

Honor of Gouxi River

In April 2009, it was rated as one of the top 100 ecological scenic spots in China by ICGA of World Institute of cultural geography and apepa of Asia Pacific Environmental Protection Association.

It was upgraded to National Wetland Park in April 2011.

In December 2015, Langzhong gouxihe Wetland Park was officially promoted to "national team"
