The exhibition hall of Li Xiangjun's former residence is the former residence of one of the so-called "eight beauties of Qinhuai" prostitutes in the late Ming Dynasty. It is located 100 meters west of the former residence of xie'an, director Wang of Nanjing. This area is the red light district of Nanjing in ancient times. There are many brothels on both sides of Qinhuai River in the old times. Of course, those old brothels no longer exist, but the buildings left behind still retain some of the charm of that year.

Character story

But Li Xiangjun's former residence was submerged in a piece of antique houses, which was insignificant at all. Li Xiangjun is one of the famous prostitutes in the late Ming Dynasty. But it is said that Li Xiangjun is a famous prostitute who does not sell her body. Her stories, which are not stained by mud, cynical, faithful and chaste, are written in Peach Blossom Fan for later generations to recite.

This former residence covers a small area. It is the only surviving heting river house. It is backed by the Qinhuai River, and there is a small private wharf by the river. Li Xiangjun used to go in and out of the boat from there. There is a large plaque of "Meixiang building" hanging on the door. It is a two-story wooden structure building, which is a little similar to the pattern of Anhui folk houses I have seen before. There are four or five rooms on each floor, There is also a patio. There is a statue of Li Xiangjun. In the exhibition hall of Li Xiangjun's former residence, Li Xiangjun's deeds are displayed. There are several fans and Pipa and other exhibits. On the pillars and walls are some poems and couplets written in praise of Li Xiangjun by later scholars. The second floor of the building is said to be Li Xiangjun's living place. There is a bedroom, which is the new house of Li Xiangjun and Hou Fangyu I spent more than a year here after I got married. In this situation, it seems that these historical figures are resurrected, and traces of their lives can be found everywhere.
