Mufu Mountain Scenic Spot

On the Bank of the Yangtze River in the northwest of Nanjing, the mountains rise and fall from Shangyuanmen in the west to Yanziji in the East, about 12 Li long. There are five peaks in Mufu mountain. The main peak is called Beigu peak, which is more than 70 Zhang high. There are deep caves under the peak. Zhongfeng is famous for its immortal cave and hupaoquan, and the two peaks in Northwest China are called Jialuo peak, commonly known as Jiagu peak. On the east side of the shogunate, there are limestone mountains along the river. In Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty, there was a Guanyin Pavilion beside the mountain, so it was named Guanyin Mountain. During the reign of emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty, because of the construction of the temple in the pavilion, it was named Hongji temple, and later Yongji temple, which was a major ancient temple in Nanjing. When you enter the temple gate, you can see that the hall is at the foot of the mountain. It is a hollow and bottomless hall. The wooden frame is a niche. There is a stone tablet in front of it, which imitates the statue of Avalokitesvara painted by Wu Daozi. The temple is dilapidated due to its long history, but the Guanyin Pavilion still stands on the riverside and seems to fall down. Overlooking from the window, pingchou is a wilderness with a boundless river. In the mountains, there is a spectacle of "Yanshan 12 caves". The more famous caves are Toutai, ertai and Santai caves. Cave rock strange, that stone dragon, stone beast, if static if moving, lifelike. To the east of Toutai cave is Yanziji. Shogunate climbing is one of the 48 scenes in Jinling. Walking along the river to the north of shogunate mountain, looking up at the steep cliffs, you can see exquisite karst wonders everywhere. The green grass interspersed in the cliffs of caves and ravines has vigorous vitality and enlightens people!
