With a total construction area of 1165 square meters, the central part of the south facade is two rows of long windows, with a gable in the middle. At the corner of the southwest corner, there is a double-layer dome tower, which was popular at that time. The main entrance is located in the concave part of the corner and is decorated with large granite rough stones. The building was originally the residence of German expatriates. In 1926, Germany opened a consulate in Qingdao, initially at No. 3, Guangxi Road, and later moved to the current site. Typical European style architecture. During World War II, it was the only foreign consulate in Qingdao. Later, it was purchased by the descendants of Confucius and presented to the municipal government, which was opened as "Confucius Memorial Hall in Nanyuan".
