Qingdao No.1 bathing beach, also known as Huiquan bathing beach, is located in Huiquan Bay of Qingdao City, which can accommodate tens of thousands of people to swim at the same time. Development history

A hundred years ago, it was the place where local fishermen moored their boats and dried their nets. After Germany occupied Qingdao, it opened up a bathing beach, built dozens of wooden changing rooms, equipped with rescue boats and various game facilities, and built the "streland Hotel" (today's Huiquan Hotel) behind the bathing beach in 1904 to receive foreign tourists. The German authorities also advertised in Japan, Hong Kong and other places, making the first bathing beach a famous entertainment place in East Asia. In the midsummer, many foreign tourists came to Qingdao for summer vacation, with 16791 people in 1921 alone. Since then, hotels, dance halls, bars, cafes, music tables and other entertainment and rest places have been built one after another. Diving platforms, floating platforms and wharves have been built on the sea, and emergency and life-saving equipment have been improved. Some open spaces have been arranged as gardens and children's sports grounds. The complete facilities and superior environment not only rank the top of all baths in Qingdao, but also, as the famous writer Yu Dafu said, "I'm afraid it's in Qingdao In East Asia, no sea water is second to none in China's coastal bathing beaches. Just like the bathing beach can catch up with Qingdao ".

In the 1940s, due to the construction of fortifications by Japanese aggressors and the influence of typhoon in 1949, the first bathing beach was seriously damaged one after another, and was built many times after liberation. In order to meet the needs of the rapid development of tourism, in 1984, the Qingdao Municipal People's government carried out a large-scale repair and expansion of the bathing beach, which took only 102 days to make the first bathing beach take on a new look. The newly built bathing beach has a construction area of 20000 square meters, and the beach area has doubled. Along the outer side of the beach, there are many dressing rooms with novel shapes and various styles. They are tower shaped, round, square, polygonal and so on. Their colors are bright and bright, just like a fairy tale world. In summer, it can accommodate 200000 swimmers a day, which is an excellent place for summer.

Qingdao No.1 bathing beach is located on the Bank of Huiquan Bay. It is 580 meters long and 40 meters wide. It was once the largest bathing beach in Asia. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and verdant trees, the modern high-rise buildings and traditional villa buildings are cleverly combined, and the scenery is very beautiful.
