Ezhuang has dense forest, perfect ecological system, various natural rare species, more than 10000 ancient and famous trees. There are many original secondary forests in the area, which are well preserved, with dense vegetation and good growth. The existing forest area is 6414 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 70.3%. In addition, Ezhuang is rich in surface water, many springs, water area of 170 hectares, reservoirs and ponds, waterfalls hanging curtain, known as "North Jiuzhaigou". There are 146 kinds of forest resources, 12 kinds of wild edible fungi, 38 kinds of wild fruit, 34 kinds of wild vegetables, more than 160 kinds of wild flowers and wild Chinese herbal medicine in the park. There are 17 species of wild animals, 6 species of key protected animals in Shandong Province, 172 species of birds and 15 species of national second class protected birds. The park has steep and dangerous mountains, strange peaks and rocks, scattered, ravines and ravines, deep karst caves and cliffs.
