Former residence of Li Mingzhong

Li Mingzhong's former residence is located in the north of Chang'an Street, Shenqiu County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province.

Li Mingzhong, whose name is Xiaodong, was born in Shenqiu County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province in 1887. Feng Yuxiang was one of the two main assistants in his early stage. During the revolution of 1911, he served as platoon leader of Feng Yuxiang's camp and later came to Shaanxi. Since the luanzhou uprising, through the Beijing coup against the monarchy, the planned expedition against Zhang Xun, the Zhifeng war, the overthrow of Cao Kun, and the northern expedition, they have made fruitful contributions. Li Mingzhong's former residence is located in Shenqiu County. This residence was designed and built by Liu leting (originally from Zhuoxian County, Hebei Province) in 1936. It is a late Qing style building complex, standing in the north of Chang'an Street. It was announced as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in 1976. It was announced as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in September 2000

. In September 2016, it was named as the demonstration base of patriotism education in Henan Province.

The former residence is a courtyard with seven main halls, three East and West Wing rooms, and four corner doors on the left and right. The three courtyards are connected with each other from south to north. The corridors of the courtyards are interconnected. They pass through the courtyards to block the sun and rain. In the West, there is a small garden, a rolling shed flower hall, three study rooms at the back of the hall, the East kitchen, nine service rooms, eleven stables and garage. The whole building is rigorous and high Elegant.
