Fenshui Dragon King Temple
Longwang Temple of Fenshui is the center of the diversion hub project of the Grand Canal. It is located in Nanwang Town, about 20 kilometers southwest of Wenshang County. It was built in Ming and Qing Dynasties to commemorate Song Li, Bai Ying and others who were the meritorious officials of the water conservancy project of "diverting Wen and helping Yun" in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. It was first built in the Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty (1506-1521), covering an area of about 14 mu. In the south, there are historical memorial buildings such as song Gong temple, Bai Gong temple, pan Gong temple and Yu Wang hall; in the north, there are water conservancy facilities, including Tu Shan Ji, Shi Bi an and Fen dam. At present, the watercourse has been silted up, and most of the buildings are inclined. Today, there are more than 20 "beam lifting" wooden buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as song temple, and more than 10 steles and stones in the same period. The water conservancy project of "water diversion from Wenchuan to transport" is of great significance to ensure the smooth water transport of the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal. Pan Jixun, a man of the Ming Dynasty, said: "although the book of Song Dynasty held a meeting to pass through the river following the original site of the Yuan Dynasty, the damming of daicun village and the diversion of water to Nanwang surpassed the facilities of the Yuan Dynasty. As for the construction of sluice dams and the addition of water tanks, it is even more perfect." As a result, water transport has been unimpeded for 200 years. Up to now, Bai Ying's achievements are still celebrated in the southwest of Shandong Province.
