Taoist temples. Wudang Mountain in Danjiangkou City, Hubei Province is about 10 kilometers away from xuanyuemen. It is said that in the past, the prince Jing was inspired by Ziqi Yuanjun, the founder of Yuqing, to study Taoism in Wudang Mountain. Because of his weak will, he wanted to go out of the mountain to return to the secular life. One day when he came here, he met a grandmother sitting by a well sharpening an iron pestle. The prince was very surprised and asked, "what's the use of an iron pestle? He said, "sharpen the needle." the prince was surprised and said, "isn't that too difficult?" He said to him, "if you grind the embroidery needle with an iron pestle, you will succeed naturally." The crown prince suddenly realized this, so he went back to practice. He achieved great success and became an immortal. Later, people called this "needle grinding well" and built some buildings here.

According to Wudang Taoism, the first place where the sun rises is pure Yang, so it is also called "pure Yang Palace". Mozhenjing is a typical small building in Wudang ancient architectural complex, with compact layout and exquisite. The main body of the building is based on the story of Xuantian God in Wudang Mountain.

On the gables of the main hall of the moxinjing well, there are still murals of Xuanwu Xiuzhen. With exquisite and vivid brushwork, the mural vividly depicts the whole process of Xuanwu from birth to cultivation in the mountains to success. Its "iron pestle and grinding needle" is more fluent and meaningful. In the courtyard of mozhenjing, two huge needle shaped iron pestles stand upright, with their finishing touch, rendering the theme of their legend incisively and vividly.

The main building of Mo Zhen Jing is a pavilion of brick and wood structure, which is called laomu Pavilion. There is a statue of Ziqi Yuanjun with iron pestle and grinding needle. Grandma, the incarnation of Ziqi Yuanjun, is simple and vivid, just like a kind and respectable old man who has experienced many vicissitudes. Looking back, she seems to be talking with others and telling an eternal truth. This beautiful legend of iron pestle and grinding needle is endowed with lasting vitality by its profound philosophy. It has been widely praised for thousands of years and has become a wonderful flower in Wudang culture.

History of development

The original building of Mo Zhen Jing has been destroyed. The existing hall is rebuilt in the second year of Chengfeng (1852) of the Qing Dynasty. The main building is zushi hall, which is a three Bay hall. In the hall, there is a statue of emperor Zhenwu's youth. The wall of the hall is painted with the painting of Zhenwu Xiuzhen. The picture vividly depicts the legend of emperor Zhenwu's practice in the mountains. The lines are ancient and elegant, the colors are simple, the landscapes and trees are vivid, and all kinds of characters are lifelike I'm a student. There are two iron pestles standing in front of the hall, which are as thick as the mouth of a bowl, dark and bright; beside the hall, there is a Square Pavilion, with double eaves and carved ridges, flying in the air. It is light, elegant and unique. There is a well in the Pavilion, and in the niche above the well, there is a statue of gold grandma grinding needle decorated with iron casting.
