Nanyang Neixiang County Government Museum

Neixiang County Yamen is located in the north of the middle section of Chengdong street, Neixiang County. As the first yamen Museum in China, it is the only well preserved county-level official Yamen in feudal times. In 1996, the State Council announced it as a national key cultural relics protection unit. It enjoys the reputation of "the Forbidden City in the north, the county government in the South", "the dragon's head in Beijing, and the dragon's tail in the hometown". Neixiang County Yamen was first built in 1304, the eighth year of Dade in Yuan Dynasty. The existing buildings are built in Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 20000 square meters. There are more than 260 halls and houses, mainly including Zhaobi, xuanhuafan, gate, Yimen, xihuating, Yin Hotel, restaurant, prison, sanbanliufang, etc. At the same time, there are 32 exhibition rooms with an exhibition area of 3600 square meters, showing the rich cultural connotation of Yamen. Neixiang County government building complex has a unique architectural style. In the overall layout, it is strictly in accordance with the regulations of the local government offices in the Qing Dynasty, which shows the traditional ritual thought of "sitting in the north and facing the south, writing in the left and fighting in the right, sleeping in the former dynasty and living in the South". At the same time, under the influence of Zhang bingtao, the chief builder of Neixiang County and the magistrate of zhengwupin County, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, the whole building complex integrates the North-South style of the Yangtze River into one, with large scale, rigorous layout, profound strictness and endless changes.
