Shaanxi TV Tower

Xi'an TV Tower is also called Shaanxi radio and TV Tower, hereinafter referred to as TV Tower. The TV Tower is located at the south end of the central axis of Xi'an bell tower and South Gate, the south end of Chang'an South Road, facing the big and small wild goose pagodas in triangle. The whole tower is octagonal, and the tower looks like a palace lantern. The tower started construction in May 1984 and was completed and put into use in 1987, with a total area of more than 40000 square meters. It undertakes the launching tasks of TV and radio programs such as CCTV 1, Shaanxi TV 2, education station and Shaanxi radio station FM stereo. It is the broadcasting and television program transmission center of the whole province. There are sightseeing hall and revolving hall on the tower. You can have a panoramic view of the ancient city from the tower. It has become a major scenic spot in Xi'an.
