Longmendong Forest Park in Shaanxi Province, key cultural relics protection unit in Shaanxi Province, provincial forest park. It is located in xinjichuan township of Longxian county at the junction of Shaanxi and Gansu. Baozhong railway passes through from the East and 212 provincial highway can reach the scenic spot. It is 119 kilometers away from Baoji City, 300 kilometers away from Xi'an city and more than 100 kilometers away from Pingliang City. Baoji is a key scenic spot in the north line of Baoji City. It is a unique comprehensive forest park integrating Taoist scenic spots, primeval forest and karst landscape. Longmen cave, known as lingxianyan in ancient times, is famous for the creation of Quanzhen Longmen sect of Taoism by Qiu Chuji in Yuan Dynasty, and is known as "Guanshan second Huashan".

In February 2020, in order to pay homage to the "most beautiful reverse Walker", longmendong Forest Park in Shaanxi Province will implement free opening and other preferential policies for medical staff from the date of reopening to December 31, 2020.

geographical environment

Longmendong Forest Park covers an area of 2014 hectares, with an altitude of 1286.7-2032.4 meters. It is composed of Longmen cave, Jingfu mountain and Leishen mountain. It governs 6 mountains, 3 rivers, 26 peaks, 118 scenic spots and nearly 1000 species of animals and plants. There are 36 caves, 24 pools, 6 waterfalls, 5 springs, 35 pavilions, 34 Xiufeng stones, 4 cliff inscriptions, 73 steles and more than 400 poems. It is a tourist area with Taoist culture pilgrimage, Dongtan forest exploration, sightseeing mountain climbing, summer recuperation and vacation, which is based on Taoist culture and accompanied by mountains and rivers. The forest park is rich in Taoist relics, mountains, valleys, caves, pools, rocks, forests, astronomical phenomena and other resources. According to the records of Taoism, "Longmen cave is the first cave in the world", which began in the spring and Autumn period, was famous in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The temple in the garden is close to the mountain and the water. It stands on the cliff. The pavilions are suspended in the air, the plank road is flying over, the iron rope is hanging, the white clouds and purple fog are winding around, just like the fairy capital of Yaotai. There are more than 1100 species of wild animals and plants, among which magnolia, Fraxinus mandshurica, leopard and musk deer are listed in the first and second level national key protection, and more than 160 ancient trees over 200 years old.

The park has steep peaks, steep gorge walls, dense caves, flowing water, green and quiet, lush forests and towering ancient trees. Sleeping in Foshan is like a giant Buddha lying on his back, python mountain is like a giant python locking the river, dragon tiger waterfall is like a tiger roaring and dragon singing, Longmen cave is secluded in the world, black tiger pool is strange all over the world, Taishang Quanzhen cliff is mysterious and magnificent, Longmen Canyon is quiet and beautiful. The important scenic spots in the park include hunyuanding, Longmen gorge, shuilian cave, Qiuzu cave, qiuzulou, Dingxin peak, Chaoyuan peak, jingfushan, Yuping peak, Baxian cliff, Jingyun bridge, Wangmu palace and suspension, heihutan, shuanglongtan, Lingjian stone, Peony stone, sheaxi stone, tanxuan stone, etc. There are such tourism projects as mountain worship, study, rock climbing, barbecue, horse riding, mountaineering, forest bathing and recuperation. Temple fairs are held every year from the first day of March to the eighth day of April in the ancient calendar, and seminars on Taoist thoughts and theories of Longmen cave and Qiu Chuji are held irregularly.

Introduction to scenic spots

Qiu zudong

Qiuzu Cave (Changchun cave, zushi cave): it is located on the cliff behind Qizhen building. The wooden ladder and iron chain reach about 4 meters high. The cave is about 1.5 meters high, 3 meters deep and covers an area of about 6 square meters. It is the place where Qiu Chuji practices Taoism. In the cave, there is a piece of grinding stone, a relic of Qiu Chuji, about 50 cm in diameter. It is the stone used by Qiu zumo to practice martial arts. There is a statue of Qiu Chuji. The wall of the cave is engraved with "Changchun cave". Visitors, especially all the Taoists in the town, will feel the feeling of "looking up at the mountains".

Hunyuan Pavilion

Hunyuan Pavilion: (Hunyuan top) is located at the highest point of Hunyuan peak, 1800 meters above sea level, about 130 meters from the ground of the Taoist temple. All of them are erected in the air with a bucket arch, drilled holes in the cliff, driven into wooden piles, built bridges with wooden boards, hung in the air, crossed the plank road, climbed the iron rope, stepped on the cloud ladder, entered the pavilion, looked at the vast forest, had a panoramic view, just like being in the cloud sky, suddenly had the feeling of "looking at the mountains and small". The pavilion is dedicated to Hunyuan ancestors.

Sanlongtan

Three Longtan: qinglongtan, Wulongtan and wolongsha. Located in the lower reaches of heihutan, they are connected in turn. In the west of the pool is the cliff of Zaoyang cave, and in the east of the pool is the cliff under the black tiger pool. On both sides of the pool, the gorge is like a gate, and the beautiful water flows straight down. It is connected by two waterfalls about 3 meters high, with the impact of waves and the sound of mountains and valleys. In the rainy season, mountain torrents are surging, the sound of water is thundering, like a dragon coming out of its cave and a python galloping.
