Xingtai gorge group Geopark in Hebei Province

Located 70 km west of Xingtai City, the canyons are composed of 24 canyons, 8 of which are more than 1000 meters long. It is a wonder among the Taihang peaks. The main landscapes are Guimen Tianqian, woxia Qinghong, yunya zazhu, Feibao Xieyu, yaochi dressing platform, Longgong Yuzhu, Jigong Guanhai, Sanshan Xiaocui, etc. Huangchao gorge, the main gorge, is a graben between the mountains. It is more than 4000 meters long and 200 meters deep. The two walls face each other for thousands of feet. The gorge is several meters wide and the narrowest part is only more than ten centimeters. Looking up, the cloud cliff pours down, which has the tendency of closing in an instant, so it is called "a line of sky". Huangchao gorge is one of the base areas of Huangchao peasant uprising in the late Tang Dynasty because of its precipitous terrain, which is easy to defend and difficult to attack. In addition to the remains of the old city and the road of training soldiers to taste the happy Horse Inn, the names of villages, ancient temples and rocks all leave traces and legends related to Huangchao uprising army. In addition, there are also the former sites of the general arms factory, clothing factory and paper mill of the Eighth Route Army.
