Located in the center of Dezhou City, Changhe park is an important part of the East-West ecological axis of Dezhou City. Its name originated from Dezhou in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The park covers an area of 1800 mu, including 600 mu of water surface.

brief introduction

According to the staff of Dezhou Environmental Planning Bureau, the former site of Changhe park is a rural brick and tile factory, an abandoned borrow pit, a Hongqiao chemical plant and its wastewater discharge pool, and its construction does not occupy cultivated land. In order to improve the overall ecological environment of Hedong Development Zone and provide a leisure place for citizens to play on holidays and get close to nature, the municipal Party committee and municipal government decided to build Changhe Park and broke the ground on February 15, 2004. After three years of construction, the ecological environment around Changhe park has been greatly improved, which has promoted the development and construction of Hedong new town in Dezhou City.

Design

The design of the park takes the concept of nature and ecology as the main axis, and uses modern design techniques to design four theme areas from west to East, which are mountain landscape area, natural ecological area, bridge landscape area and modern leisure area in turn. As Dezhou City is located in the northern Shandong plain, it is the only city without natural mountains in Shandong Province. Therefore, two "peaks" are designed in this area, one main and one high and one low, with falling waterfalls and springs in the middle, forming a mountain landscape area that can not only climb high and look far away, but also play in the water near the abyss. Other districts also have their own characteristics and complement each other. Changhe park also has the functions of leisure, popular science, sports and so on. It has become a comprehensive and Ecological Urban Central Park. In terms of scale, it is a larger ecological urban central park in Jiangbei.

The overall design and landscape design of Changhe Park adopts the modern design method of combining Chinese and western, which is consistent with the positioning of "modern, ecological and garden style" of Hedong new town in Dezhou City. The practice of large greening and large water surface improves the ecological environment of the central area of the city and introduces the concept of urban ecological wetland. So far, 495 solar energy lamps have been installed in the park, making it the first photoelectric Park in China with solar energy as the main lighting, and preparing to build a solar Science Museum and a solar square. There are more than 300 tree species planted in the park, and some valuable tree species such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Cedrus deodara and Magnolia denudata are planted in the park, which makes the park have the popular science characteristics of botanical garden. With the characteristics of meteorological science popularization and wetland science popularization, the park's science popularization is improved, and people's knowledge is increased in the amusement.
