In August 2010, a new Zhongshan Gate Park was renovated and opened to visitors. As one of the comprehensive renovation contents of Tianjin's "fighting for 300 days", the upgrading and reconstruction of Zhongshan Gate Park has been completed for a period of time. People around have been very concerned about when Zhongshan Gate Park will open. Zhongshan Gate Park in everyone's expectations in the pilot open operation, attracted many people around.

Zhongshan Gate Park was built along with the construction of a new village for workers in the 1950s. At that time, Zhongshan Gate Park was a good place for 100000 industrial workers of large national enterprises such as No.1 national cotton factory, Tianjin steel factory and flying pigeon bicycle factory to enjoy their leisure and entertainment. The surrounding kindergartens and junior primary school students also regarded the park as a place for "spring outing", carrying the good memories of many people's childhood.

With Zhongshan Gate bungalows becoming high-rise buildings, the population in this area is more dense. Zhongshan Gate Park has become a large-scale park green space in the surrounding communities, and its facilities and appearance can no longer meet the needs of residents. At the beginning of the "300 days of fighting" project in 2010, Zhongshan Gate Park was included in the list of parks to be upgraded in 2010. All the people around are happy for the old park to take on a new look.

With the efforts of the district government and city landscape workers, the construction of the park was completed in June 2010. However, due to the project has not yet been accepted, the park has not been opened. However, in the eyes of everyone, on August 9, 2010, Zhongshan Gate Park began to open. Although there is no publicity, the news of the opening of the park is still spreading. Not only the residents in the surrounding communities, but also many people from afar are competing to see the new park.

In the three days since the park opened on August 9, 2010, the number of people visiting the park every day has reached 30000, which makes the small park full of "human" spirit.

The park said that the number of visitors to the park was unexpected. Therefore, they will improve the park according to the situation of the park and the needs of tourists.
