Laiyuan Baishishan National Geopark

Baishi mountain is located at the northernmost part of the Taihang Mountain, with an altitude of 2096 meters. Baishi mountain has a peculiar landform, dense vegetation and a wide variety of animals and plants. There are peak forest, strange stone, cliff, sea of clouds, Buddha light, forest, shrub, stream, waterfall, great wall and rare animal and plant landscape. "Baishi Qingyun" is the first of the twelve ancient scenic spots in Laiyuan.

Among them, the most eye-catching one is the glass plank road opened to the public in mid September 2014. Compared with the suspended glass plank road of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Mountain in Dandong, this plank road ranks the first in China's glass plank road. It is the longest, widest and highest in altitude in China, comparable to the U-shaped glass plank road in the Grand Canyon of the United States, and can be called the "road of the sky" in China.

The glass plank road is about 95 meters in length, 2 meters in width and 1900 meters above sea level. Although it looks terrible, it can bring you a different experience while enjoying the scenery, and it is also very safe.

1. Self driving: (1) Beijing Shijiazhuang Expressway - get off the expressway in Gaobeidian, Hebei Province - go west to national highway 112 - pass Laishui - Yixian - Xiling of Qing Dynasty - Zijingguan - Laiyuan, the whole journey is about 240 km. Route 2: National Highway 107 - via Dingxing to Yixian - via national highway 112 - via Xiling of Qing Dynasty - Zijingguan - Laiyuan. The whole journey is about 200 kilometers.

2. Train: take No. 7095 (Beijing South - Taiyuan) train from Beijing south. (departure time - 6:37); take No. 7197 (Beijing South Laiyuan) train from Beijing south. (departure time - 17:40)
