Green dyke Park

Located on the Bank of Yongding River in Fengtai District, close to the West Fifth Ring Road, the green dyke Park covers an area of about 105 hectares with a total investment of 68.08 million yuan. It is currently the largest and most invested Park in Beijing's country parks.

The 105 hectare green dyke Park was built on the Yongding River near Lugou Bridge in Beijing in 2008

District construction, Beijing Fengtai District held a press conference on greening work.

The largest country park in Beijing, green dyke Park, has been basically completed and will be officially opened to the public free of charge during May 1, 2009.

The park has more than 95% of the green area, and many rare species such as Pennisetum, Festuca arundinacea and Achnatherum splendens have been introduced for the first time. Self driving passengers can take the Beijing Shijiazhuang Expressway to get there from the exit of the Fifth Ring Road.

The Yongding River area used to be one of the five sources of Sandstorm in Beijing. In the 1990s, there were sand and stone yards everywhere, and the natural environment on both sides of the river was poor. At the beginning of the 21st century, sand and stone yards were closed down one after another, and greening began. More than ten large-scale voluntary tree planting bases were established here, which greatly improved the natural environment and significantly curbed the sandstorm.

This will greatly change the current situation of the lack of park green space around Yongding River, realize the green docking with Lugou Bridge and Wanping ancient city, and create conditions for this area to form a good ecological landscape and carry out eco-tourism.

There are xiaoyueyuan, xinyuejiayuan and other communities near LVDI park. There are nearly 60000 residents living in Wanping City and Lugouqiao area. These residents can walk 10 to 20 minutes to reach LVDI park. Self driving tourists can take Beijing Shijiazhuang Expressway from the exit of the Fifth Ring Road, or take bus 313, 715, 809, 693, 301, 329, 452 to get off at xiaoyueyuan.
