Xinyang Baihua garden is located in the core area of Yangshan New District, Xinyang City, with the layout of "one core, two axes, four phases and twelve gardens". The park covers an area of 800 mu, with a green coverage rate of 83%. More than 500000 flower seedlings and 268 kinds of ornamental plants, such as peony, tulip and camellia, are planted in the garden. It is the only public open space with flower theme in the world, and an important window to show the image of Xinyang.

There are more than 500000 flower seedlings planted in Baihua garden, including 268 ornamental plants such as peony, tulip and Camellia. It is an important window to show the charm of Xinyang.

The construction of Baihua garden landscape project emphasizes "understanding nature, respecting nature and protecting nature". While protecting the ecological environment, saving land resources and scientific planning, it also uses modern urban landscape design techniques to fully reflect the characteristics of the combination of flower and garden. It is the only public open space with flower as the theme in the world at present, which is the embodiment of Xinyang The window of history, culture and modern spirit has become a good place for tourism, leisure and entertainment.

Park layout

The layout of Baihua garden is "one core, two axes, four phases and twelve gardens". "One core" refers to the "windows" in the central part of the garden. This modern and fashionable "window" implies that the people of Xinyang look at the world, go to the world, and expect the world to know Xinyang and enter Xinyang. The red color of the "window" indicates that Xinyang, the red city, always retains its revolutionary nature, and the transparency of the "window" indicates that green Xinyang has ushered in a myriad of colors. The "two axes" are the century culture axis and the North-South landscape axis in the center of the garden, which are the main landscape line of sight to guide the flow of people. The east-west axis symbolizes the geographical boundary between the north and the south of China, indicating that Xinyang is located on the "Qinling Huaihe River", the geographical boundary between the north and the south of China. "Four phases" are green valley flower border, green field flower street, flower language green dyke and colorful flower sea, corresponding to the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. "Twelve gardens" is to form twelve theme flower gardens according to different flowering periods of plants. Each theme flower is equipped with flowers similar to its own season, creating a beautiful scenery of flowers blooming day by day and flowers enjoying month by month. They are: January mountain tea garden, February spring garden, March azalea garden, April peony garden, may rose garden, June crape myrtle garden, July Hibiscus garden, August osmanthus garden, September chrysanthemum garden, October Hibiscus garden, November Red Maple Garden and December plum garden.

There is a zero landmark at the center of the central axis of Baihua garden, which is the starting point of "zero kilometer" traffic in Xinyang and the base point for measuring the distance between Xinyang and other parts of the world; under the zero landmark, there is the Centennial underground palace.
