Beizhan Theater

Beizhan theater is full name of Beijing Exhibition Hall theater. Built in 1954, Beijing exhibition hall is the first large-scale exhibition hall in Beijing. It has received many important political and cultural exchanges from all over the world, and embellished the ancient Beijing with its unique Russian architectural style. Beizhan theater is located in the grand Russian style building complex of Beijing exhibition hall. The hall is elegant and tall, with more than 2700 seats. It is the largest professional performance theater in the capital.

Beizhan Theater

The theater of Beijing exhibition hall is subordinate to Beijing exhibition hall. It was originally an open-air theater. It was built in 1954 and rebuilt into an indoor theater in 1959 with a total of 43 rows and 2763 seats. It is one of the important performance venues in Beijing. The 62 meter diameter auditorium is the largest professional performance theater in Beijing. The stage area is more than 400 square meters, including 50 square meters of lift music pool. There are 6 dressing rooms for actors in the backstage, which can be used by more than 200 people at the same time. Beizhan theater mainly holds large-scale ballet, symphony, opera, dance drama, concert, crosstalk and conference. However, due to the backward management, so far there is no deposit office.

When the theater was first built, the Soviet ballet, Symphony Orchestra and chorus often performed here. Such as the Russian Classical Model Ballet, Russian Alexander red flag dance company, Russian National birch dance company. The Royal Ballet of England, the Baden Baden Philharmonic Orchestra of Germany, the matsushama Ballet of Japan, the Royal Ballet of Denmark and the Central Ballet have also performed here.

Theater architecture

The platform is 17.7 meters wide, 10 meters high and 20.3 meters deep (from the curtain to the sky). It can meet the needs of large-scale ballet, concerts, operas, dance dramas, concerts, symphonies and other large-scale performances.

With a total area of 80 square meters, the orchestra can accommodate more than 70 people. It has the functions of meeting the acoustic requirements, beautiful and practical, and extending the stage performance area.

There are 1 actor dressing room on the first floor and 5 rooms on the second floor, equipped with standard make-up mirror, mirror lamp, make-up chair, clothing rack and other equipment. The dressing room is equipped with a video monitoring system, which can send the performance pictures on the stage to the backstage dressing room, so that the actors can control the performance progress at any time. There is a make-up room in the East platform, a bathroom, a tea room, a smoking area and a rest room for performers in the backstage public area.

The diameter of the auditorium is 62 meters. From row 0 to row 43, the auditorium is divided into three areas: front, middle and back. There are 16 small plates. The round venue and sound-absorbing devices on the wooden wall provide a better natural sound field effect. The rough and broad imitation natural stone wall and the glittering lights on the falling ceiling highlight the magnificent and broad feeling.

The front hall is a tall, spacious and bright space; it is decorated with bronze carvings of eastern and Western cultures; the European style arch and the changes of the deep and shallow patterns on the ground constitute a simple and elegant artistic atmosphere. There are audio-visual products room and commodity department in the front hall.

There are two VIP rooms in the theatre. VIP room 1 can accommodate 22 people and VIP room 2 can accommodate 18 people. The luxurious and elegant palace style, the arched column window shape and the candle lamp echo each other. The spacious and comfortable sofa, set off by the red main tone, fully reflects the magnificent theme and provides the audience with a place to meet and rest.

Notice to the audience

1. In order to prevent the occurrence of fake tickets, please obtain the performance tickets from the designated channels.

2. Each ticket is valid for one person and seat according to the number. It is invalid if there is no coupon.

3. The audience will enter 60 minutes before the performance; please dress neatly; please do not bring suitcases or backpacks. When entering the venue, queue up at the ticket check-in counter and consciously accept the security check; it is strictly prohibited to bring controlled knives and all kinds of inflammable and explosive dangerous goods into the venue; do not bring liquid goods into the venue; smoking is prohibited in the venue.

4. When watching the performance, please put the mobile phone in the vibration or silence state; do not make any noise, walk around at will, do not step on the seat, throw objects or cross the isolation facilities to affect other people's behavior; after the performance, please exit orderly, do not stay.

5. Children should be accompanied by their parents to enter the performance with tickets and pay attention to the safety of children.

6. If you are late, please follow the arrangement of the staff and choose the right admission time for the audience.

7. Without permission, any form of photography, video and recording are strictly prohibited during the performance.

8. In case of any conflict between the above terms and the performance requirements of the day, the activity requirements shall prevail.

Traffic information

Beizhan theater is located at No.135 Xizhimenwai street, Beijing. It has superior geographical location and convenient transportation facilities. It is close to the zoo and Xizhimen two major transportation hubs. It passes through dozens of trunk lines of automobile (electric) vehicles. There is a cruise terminal in Beizhan theater along the long river system.

There are several traffic routes

·Take bus No.319 or 65 from Beijing west station and get off at Beijing Exhibition Hall station;

·Take Beijing Metro Line 2 from Beijing station, transfer to Beijing Metro Line 4 at Xizhimen Station, get off at zoo station, and walk 460 meters to Beijing exhibition hall;

·Take Beijing Metro Line 4 from Beijing south station, get off at zoo station and walk 460 meters to Beijing exhibition hall;

·Take the airport special line from Beijing Capital International Airport, get off at Dongzhimen station, transfer to Beijing Metro Line 2, transfer to Beijing Metro Line 4 at Xizhimen Station, get off at zoo station, and walk 460 meters to Beijing exhibition hall.
