At the site of Lingguang temple in Badachu of Xishan Scenic Spot in Beijing, there is a pagoda rebuilt by the Chinese Buddhist community after the founding of the people's Republic of China. It worships one of the world's only two remaining relic of Buddha's teeth, which has become one of the centers of worship for Buddhists at home and abroad. In 1983, the Buddha Tooth Relic pagoda was listed as a national key Buddhist temple in the Han area by the State Council, and is now managed by monks sent by the Chinese Buddhist Association.
