Aldin Botanical Garden

Alding Botanical Garden (East Garden) was built in August 2003. It is located in the center of Kundulun District, Baotou City, between Qingnian Road, Tuanjie street and two national roads. It covers an area of 90.4 hectares and is divided into East and west gardens. It is a professional park integrating science popularization, scientific research, culture, leisure, fitness and other functions.

brief introduction

Alding botanical garden is located in the north of Kundulun District of Baotou City, known as the urban green lung of Baotou city. Aldin North Street passes through the middle of the park and divides the park into East Park and West Park. With unique landscape, various plants and dense vegetation, the park is an ideal place for citizens to enjoy the cool in the morning and tourists to visit the park. Dongyuan is 45 hectares, including 80% green area, 9% hardened area and 9.6% water area. The overall planning layout of the botanical garden includes: popular science sightseeing area, scientific research experimental area, artificial lake area, production greenhouse and garden. Among them, the popular science tourism area of plants is divided into rose garden, peony garden, desert botanical garden, shrub garden, tree garden, climbing botanical garden, perennial flower garden and grass garden. 53 families and 450 varieties of plants were introduced. The construction of the whole park adopts traditional gardening techniques and combines with the design concept of modern urban ecological landscape environment, which fully embodies the harmonious unity of human and nature. The west garden was built one year later than the east garden. The layout design is more modern. The green area exceeds 85%. There is also a stage for drama lovers.

The original site of the botanical garden is the city nursery. The garden was built first, then the east garden, and finally the west garden. Baotou is a key project to build a green and civilized city.

The beauty of summer

In summer, the botanical garden is full of vitality, and you can have a rest in the shade.

The earliest Xia Jiujiu song was found in Wu Xiatian family records written by Lu Yong in Song Dynasty, and later in ancient ballad slander written by Du Wenlan in Qing Dynasty. From the summer solstice, "from 19 to 29, the fan will not leave; from 39 to 27, the ice water is as sweet as honey; from 49 to 36, the street sleeps; from 59 to 45, the trees dance in the light wind; from 69 to 54, the temple will not enter the cool; from 79 to 63, the bedclothes will be found at night; from 89 to 72, the quilts will be found at midnight; from 99 to 81, the cotton padded clothes will be found at home."
