Niangniang mountain, Datong

Niangniang mountain in Datong is also called Jin'e mountain. There is also a beautiful legend about Niangniang mountain. It is said that in the Han Dynasty, there were two daughters surnamed Li at the foot of the mountain. They were married at the right age. Their mother refused to marry them. Her mother said, "a woman takes her husband as her home. There is no one who will not marry for life.". The second daughter pointed to the mountain and said, "this is my husband's house.". Then he fled to the top of the mountain and left with his mother. He often called the wind and rain, and brought rain to the people. Therefore, he was also known as Fu Jia mountain. For thousands of years, the legend of Niangniang mountain has been widely spread among the people, which makes Niangniang mountain become the holy mountain in the eyes of the people in western Henan. Niangniang Temple on the top of the mountain, Huangtian tomb, laoerjuan and other landscapes all leave rich humanistic stories, which cover the mystery of Niangniang mountain.
