Kashgar Regional Museum

Kashgar regional museum was established in 1992, with a construction area of 2360 square meters. The basic display is the exhibition of historical relics of the Silk Road in Xinjiang, which displays hundreds of relics from the stone age, bronze age, Han and Tang Dynasties and the karahan Dynasty unearthed in various parts of Xinjiang, representing the brilliant history of the silk road.

In September 2018, it was identified as a national third-class Museum.

Development history

Kashgar regional museum was founded in 1989, started construction in 1990 and completed at the end of 1992. After more than three years of preparation, it officially opened to the outside world on October 31, 1995. In 1996, it was named "patriotic propaganda and education position" by the Propaganda Department of Kashgar Prefecture Party committee. At the beginning of its establishment, the museum worked together with the Kashi cultural relics protection and management office. Muhammad zunon sdik, director of the Institute of cultural administration, is also the director of Kashgar regional museum.

In September 2018, it was identified as a national third-class Museum.

architectural composition

The building is located in the west facing east, reinforced concrete structure, including attached one floor, three floors, one exhibition hall, practical area of 850 square meters, warehouse area of 160 square meters.

The Northern Song Dynasty was decorated with silk and cotton robes. Open front, square collar, narrow sleeves, pinched waist, wide swing. The neck, shoulder, front skirt, cuff, hem and back hem are inlaid with the flower and grass patterns woven by Kesi, which are sewn by the upper and lower parts.
