Taiping Lake Scenic Spot

Taiping Lake scenic spot is 11 kilometers away from the center of Baishan City. It is located in Tuodao village, liudaojiang Town, Badaojiang district. There is an artificial lake built in the scenic spot to intercept the Heigou river. It is named Taiping Lake. Taiping Lake is located in the center of "one lake and two mountains" in southern Anhui tourism area. Taiping Lake has a long history. A 75 million year old dinosaur egg fossil and a Neolithic Zhongjiashan site have been found on the lakeside. A large number of cultural relics and historic sites such as Guangyang City, Sanli Qinhuai Longmen street and so on are hidden at the bottom of the lake. In the Han Dynasty, Dou Ziming practiced Taoism in Lingyang mountain and fished a white fish to become an immortal, which triggered Li Bai's poem that "the azalea bloomed in spring, but it was too late to go back to Lingyang to fish". Later generations trace "Qu Yuan exiled in Lingyang" to this point, Tang Dynasty poets Li Bai, Luo Yin, Du Xunhe and others have left traces here, Southern Song Dynasty Neo Confucianist Zhu Xi inscription stone inscription "Xiuyin" is still lying in the lake.

Modern history

In the early days of liberation, Taiping Lake was still a big river that had been running for 5000 years. On both sides of the river are ancient towns in mountain cities, and on the lower reaches of the river is the famous Qingyi River. In 1957, the former Soviet Union promised to help China build 100 water conservancy projects, and the construction of Chencun reservoir was one of them. Chencun reservoir is located at the junction of Taiping County (that is, Huangshan District) and Jing County. At that time, Xinanjiang reservoir in Zhejiang Province was designed and built together. Xinanjiang reservoir has become Qiandao Lake, and Chencun reservoir has been renamed Taiping Lake. Taiping Lake was built and began to store water in 1970. Before that, two counties were relocated. One was the former Taiping County, and the other was Shitai County. The residents on both sides of the river moved to other places. The ancient market town was submerged and became the old street at the bottom of the lake. In this way, the river flowing for thousands of years turned into a young and beautiful Taiping Lake.

The price of 30 seat oil tanker is 35 yuan / person (group of 30 people). You can visit three islands (Bagua Island, longyaozhai and Houdao) in the Central Lake area. You can also pay 200 yuan for Taiping Bay and 350 yuan for Huangjin island.

Traffic information

Huangshan City bus terminal (No. 31, Qiyun Avenue, Tunxi District, Huangshan City, also known as Tunxi bus station) takes the "Tunxi Taiping" coach to Huangshan Taiping passenger transport center in Huangshan District (Taiping County), 6:30-17:00, about every 20 minutes. Then take the bus to Taiping Lake at Huangshan Taiping passenger transport center. The departure time is about 6:30-15:10.

Nanjing, Shanghai, Hefei and other shuttle buses go directly to cities in Huangshan District and other surrounding cities in the province. It is recommended to take the bus directly to Huangshan District (or Taiping) and then transfer quickly.

The whole Taiping Lake is divided into five scenic spots: Gongxing, Guangyang, Huangjing, Longmen and Sanmen. The main scenic spots are: Xishan fish watching, pinglongshan tea picking, Three Gorges water fun, Guilin scenery, crocodile swimming, mushroom pine, meimaofeng and Qiaoshan fairy cave. The core natural scenic spots are Bailuzhou paradise, Golden Island Botanical Garden, Monkey Island, deer island, Snake Island and golden basin Bay Tourist Resort.

Guangyang scenic spot: Gongxing development zone is the tourist reception center of Taiping Lake. Not far from Gongxing Bay is Guangyang scenic spot.
