There are 15 cultural relic locomotives and 3 copied cultural relic locomotives in the museum, including locomotives from 8 countries, including the United States, Germany and Japan. The db1 and PL locomotives produced in America in 1907 are one of the oldest steam locomotives in the world. Shenyang Steam Locomotive Museum is built on the basis of the original Shenyang railway steam locomotive exhibition hall by Shenyang Railway Branch and Shenyang Botanical Garden at No. 64, Chonggong North Street, Tiexi District (near Beisi West Road). The building area is more than 11300 square meters.

Shenyang Steam Locomotive Museum is built by Shenyang Railway Bureau and Shenyang Botanical Garden on the basis of the original Shenyang railway steam locomotive exhibition hall. The building area is more than 11300 square meters. There are 15 cultural relics locomotives in the collection and 3 cultural relics locomotives copied. It is the largest railway steam locomotive Museum in China. Locomotive products from the United States, Germany, Japan, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, China and the former Soviet Union are collected in the museum. Among them, the db1 and PL locomotives produced in the United States in 1907 are one of the oldest steam locomotives in the world; the sl7 locomotives collected in our museum were manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. in 1934, with a design speed of 130 km / h, which is the only one among the 12 locomotives; the JS locomotives produced in 1957 and the GJ locomotives produced in 1960 were built by ourselves after the founding of the people's Republic of China All in all, they have written a glorious page for the development history of Chinese railway locomotives. The collection of steam locomotives has witnessed the development history of the world railway and the civilization of the industrial revolution.
