Xinle site is a new stone age matriarchal clan settlement site. There are three layers of cultural accumulation in the site: upper, middle and lower. The upper culture is mainly represented by plain faced pottery, Cuan and Cuan. Middle level culture, mainly represented by grinding stone axe. The lower culture is mainly represented by making stone tools and embossing "Zhi" deep belly pot, which has rich cultural connotation and distinctive local characteristics. Among them, the "woodcarving bird" collected by the lower class is a treasure of Chinese woodcarving art and a typical representative of Xinyue culture. At the Xinle site museum, you can not only learn about the "indigenous" Xinle people in Shenyang, but also experience the life of primitive people and increase your knowledge.
Shenyang Xinle Site Museum
Shenyang Xinle site museum, built in the original site of Xinle site, is a site museum that introduces the civilization of Liaohe River Basin.
Xinle site is located in Longshan Road, Huanghe North Street, Huanggu District, Shenyang City, and on the high platform to the north of Xinkaihe river. It is a settlement site in the matriarchal clan period of Neolithic age. It is a very important prehistoric archaeological cultural heritage of Liaohe River Basin in Northeast China.
In February 2020, in order to pay tribute to the medical workers struggling in the front line of anti epidemic, Shenyang Xinle Ruins Museum will be free of charge for medical workers from the opening date to December 31, 2020.

Xinle site museum is a site museum of the early Neolithic Age in China. Located in Huanggu District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It was established in July 1986.
The site is about 350 meters long from east to west and 150 meters wide from north to south, with a total area of 52500 square meters. More than 7000 years ago, the archaeological excavation area in the central area of the site has reached more than 5000 square meters. It is confirmed that there are three layers of cultural accumulation in this area. Now, 40 half cavern building sites have been excavated.
The museum collects nearly ten thousand Neolithic relics unearthed from Xinle site. There are pottery, stone tools, grinding stone tools, microlithic, jade, bone, wood carving art and coal products. The exhibition is divided into four exhibition halls and a lower floor room of Xinle.
Exhibition hall collection
The first exhibition hall shows the lower class culture of Xinle. There are 12 display cabinets with 167 cultural relics on display. Among them, there are beating stone tools, grinding stone tools, microlithic tools, pottery, wood carvings, fine coal products, carbonized grains, stone and bone ware.
The second exhibition hall displays the upper culture of Xinle. There are 8 display cabinets with 55 cultural relics on display. Among them, there are some relics of pianbuzi type between the upper and lower cultures, such as grinded stone knives, stone pickaxes, etc. The main body of the pottery is Cuan, Cuan and Ding, and there are also urn coffins and pottery spinning wheels about 80 cm high on display. The lower floor of Xinle was excavated in 1978. The house site is a rectangular half crypt type, with an area of 95.46 square meters. There is a fire chamber in the middle and a pillar hole around the cave wall. A large number of relics were unearthed in the house site.

Cultural value
The discovery of Xinle site fills in the gap of the early Neolithic culture in the middle and lower reaches of Liaohe River Basin, and traces the history of human activities in Shenyang from 5000 years to 7000 years ago. It is a major breakthrough in the historical and archaeological research of Liaoshen area, and is a very representative cultural type of Neolithic Age in Northeast China. It is designated as "Xinle" in the history circle Culture "has high historical value, scientific value and unique cultural and artistic value.

In 2001, Xinle site was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
