Lianhuan lake, located 18 kilometers southwest of Taikang Town, duerbert Mongolian Autonomous County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, China, is a large shallow lake on the Songnen Plain. Geographical features

Lianhuan lake is one of the largest inland freshwater lakes in Heilongjiang Province, with a total area of 830000 mu. Its geomorphic structure is high in the north and low in the south, 120 Li long in the north and 61 Li wide in the East and West, and its bottom is flat and 100 Li wide, It is a famous large shallow lake in Songnen Plain. The genetic type of Lianhuan lake is the lake formed in the lowland between sand ridges. Lianhuan lake belongs to the continental monsoon climate of north temperate zone, with an average altitude of 135-144 meters, lake bottom elevation of 135.5-136.9, and a hundred mile slope of only 1 meter. The water area is composed of 18 lakes, two ditches and three artificial diversion canals. Ecological characteristics

Lianhuan lake is rich in living plants, including 7 phyla and 85 genera of phytoplankton, 25 genera of diatoms and other nutritive algae. Macrobrachium nipponense, brachium chinensis and white shrimp are the main zoobenthos, which can be directly recaptured. There are more than 40 species of aquatic plants, 24 families of which are rich in reed. Abundant aquatic plants create unique conditions for freshwater fish to breed and live. Fish resources are rich, with annual fishing capacity of more than 1000 tons. The lake is rich in 40 kinds of freshwater fish, especially carp, grass, silver carp, crucian carp, black fish, pike, loach, gayazi, hemp silver carp, baipiaozi, wheatfish, liugenchi, etc.

There are luxuriant high-quality reeds in the edge shoal of Lianhuan lake, which is one of the high-quality reed producing areas in Daqing. The county government has set aside more than 40000 hectares of water surface from Lianhuan Lake as a waterfowl nature reserve. There are 240 species of birds in the area, including 92 species of waterfowl. Wild geese, swans, red crowned cranes and grey cranes are the key protected objects. Most of the wild ducks are non protected animals, and there are 20 species that can be hunted. The hunting season is from early April to early May and from early September to early November. There are more than 40 species of fish.

The hot spring here comes from the ancient water 1800 meters underground. The water temperature is 48 degrees centigrade. It is rich in trace elements radium and barium. It has the functions of nourishing and protecting the skin. Relying on the rich tourism resources, the scenic spot has developed and constructed the hot spring health center, outdoor hot spring water park, lakeside natural swimming pool, water recreation center and other characteristic tourism projects, providing rich activities for tourists' leisure and vacation. The snow hot spring launched in winter combines hot spring tourism with ice and snow tourism, and is welcomed by the majority of tourists.

Lianhuan lake has dual functions of aquaculture and tourism. There are many fishery and tourism facilities in the lake area. The tourism industry began in 1985. With the approval of the Ministry of forestry, the international waterfowl hunting ground was established. On July 22, 2010, the first phase of Lianhuan Lake Hot Spring officially opened. On July 19, 2011, the second phase of Lianhuan Lake Hot Spring was broken.

In order to better protect wildlife resources, and also consider the needs of hunting enthusiasts, Lianhuan Lake hunting ground has opened up a new land hunting project.
