Baiyanghe Grand Canyon in Karamay City

Baiyanghe Grand Canyon in Karamay City is a national AA scenic spot. It is located in Wuerhe District of Karamay City, about 100 km away from Karamay. The Canyon Scenic Spot is a tourist attraction integrating sightseeing and entertainment. The Grand Canyon meanders about 30 kilometers, with a typical Yadan landform. From Baiyanghe reservoir, Baiyanghe river originates from wuerkasher mountain in western Junggar, with a total length of 170 km and an average annual runoff of 109 million cubic meters, and finally flows into Lake Erik. The river flows slowly at the bottom of the valley. The river is mostly meandering, winding down the valley, like a light blue "Ribbon" drifting southward along the valley, adding some flexibility and beauty to the Grand Canyon. Baiyanghe Grand Canyon is about 30 kilometers long, 400 meters wide, 200 meters narrowest and 600 meters widest. The banks on both sides are steep, about 20-30 meters high. The water surface in the valley is about 5-10 meters wide and about 50 cm deep. On both sides of the valley are Cretaceous light maroon mudstone and sandstone. Poplar Valley is the most densely forested River Valley, beautiful scenery. It has a high ornamental value. The valley is densely populated, the river is winding, and the summer temperature is significantly lower than the surrounding area. It is a good place for leisure and summer vacation.
