Wuerqihan Forest Park

Wuerqihan National Forest Park is located in the construction area of Wuerqihan Forestry Bureau, 100 km away from the urban area, with a forest area of 319 hectares. The primeval forest is inaccessible, and the ancient trees are towering. There are more than 500 kinds of shrubs and vegetation growing under the forests of Larix gmelinii, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, Betula platyphylla and Populus. Among them, blueberry, apricot, Hericium erinaceus, Auricularia auricula, Jue Cai, Astragalus membranaceus and Trollius chinensis are famous medicinal materials. Here are national protected animals, known as the "natural zoo.".

In Wuerqihan Town, the forestry bureau built a "natural museum", which contains 2116 species of animals, plants and insects specimens with the most complete species and the largest number, 11921 pieces. Since its establishment, the museum has received more than 10000 visitors from home and abroad. Liu Mingzu, former party secretary of the autonomous region, and Zhou Weide, vice chairman of the autonomous region, have inscribed the title of the museum.
