School history

Shandong Institute of Architecture

In 1956, the former Ministry of urban construction established Jinan urban construction engineering school.

In 1958, the school was under the leadership of Shandong Urban Construction Bureau and renamed Shandong Institute of architecture.

In October 1963, Shandong Institute of architecture was officially closed and transformed into Jinan construction and Engineering School of Shandong Province.

In June 1966, due to the "Cultural Revolution", the school teaching work could not be carried out normally, and the enrollment was interrupted for five years.

In 1968, with the adjustment of national education, the school changed its name to Shandong construction school.

In 1977, it resumed undergraduate education for Shandong construction school.

Shandong Institute of Architectural Engineering

In April 1978, the Ministry of Education approved the university to resume its undergraduate education, and Shandong Architecture School was transformed into Shandong Institute of architecture and engineering.

In 1982, the University became one of the first authorized units for bachelor's degree.

In November 1996, the college entered the advanced ranks of "hundred schools networking" in China.

In 1997, the University passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the former State Education Commission.

In 1998, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, he was granted the right to confer master's degree.

In 1998 and 2001, Shandong Machinery Industry School, Shandong geology school and Shandong construction engineering school were merged into Shandong Construction Engineering College.

In 2002, the university took the lead in building a new campus among the universities in Jinan.

In 2003, the school was rated as the provincial model unit in the first employment evaluation in the province.

In 2004, the new campus of Shandong Jianzhu University was officially built and put into use.

In 2007, the Ministry of education's undergraduate teaching evaluation was rated excellent.

In 2012, it applied for the doctoral talent training project serving the national special needs, and was approved as the first batch of construction units of "application-oriented talent training characteristic famous school" in Shandong Province

In 2015, the University passed the examination and evaluation of undergraduate teaching work of Shandong Provincial Department of education.

In April 2016, Shandong Provincial Department of housing and urban rural development signed a cooperation framework agreement with Shandong Jianzhu University; Shandong Provincial People's government and Ministry of housing and urban rural development jointly built Shandong Jianzhu University.

In August 2017, the University was approved to recommend outstanding fresh undergraduate graduates to study for postgraduate without examination.
