Kaohsiung Lighthouse

Kaohsiung lighthouse, located at the top of the northern Qijin mountain, is a square brick lighthouse. It is the second lighthouse in Taiwan after the erluanbi lighthouse in Pingtung. The lighthouse is octagonal, pure white, shining in the blue sky. The square white wall building connected with the lighthouse is the lighthouse office. The square building next to the office is the location of the old lighthouse. There is a viewing platform at the top of the lighthouse, which can see the beautiful scenery of Qijin harbor, Chaishan harbor, xiziwan harbor, as well as the grand occasion of ships entering and leaving Kaohsiung harbor. One of the few remaining Lighthouses of Qing Dynasty in Taiwan.

Zhongshan Expressway south > Kaohsiung end > Yugang road > Xinsheng Road (left turn) > Yugang South Third Road > Cross Harbour Tunnel > Qijin Second Road > Qijin third road > miaojian Road (right turn) > Tongshan Road (left turn) > Qixia Lane (very small one-way road).

Wufufei road > Wufu 4th Road > Gushan 1st Road (left turn) > Binhai 1st Road > Binhai 2nd Road > Shaochuan Street > Gushan ferry head > Qijin ferry head > miaojian Road (right turn) > Tongshan Road (left turn) > Qixia Lane (very small one-way road).

Public transport:

1. Take bus No.31 or No.50 to duchuantou, take a ferry to Qijin, and then go north to Qijin ferry crossing. It will take about 20 minutes to reach the destination.
