Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower

Jinggangshan revolutionary martyrs memorial tower is located on a small hill beside yicui Lake in Ciping. It is surrounded by evergreen pines and cypresses. The environment is elegant and solemn. In addition, at the entrance more than 20 meters in front of the martyrs tower, a "Tomb of revolutionary martyrs" was built, with the characters "people's hero" and "Immortality" written on both sides. Part of the bones of the dead Red Army soldiers who moved from Xiaojing were buried in the tomb. Every year during the Qingming Festival, there are clusters of fresh flowers and low music. People pay homage to the spirits of the martyrs in various ways to express endless sorrow.

In order to commemorate the great Jinggangshan revolutionary struggle and remember the revolutionary martyrs who died in the Jinggangshan struggle, the former people's Government of Jinggangshan District of Suichuan County built a pure wood structure memorial tower with ten characters "Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower" on the Northeast hill of Ciping in 1950.

In 1951, the wooden tower was demolished and rebuilt into a brick and wood structure memorial tower, and a clay statue of Red Army soldiers was erected on the top of the tower, but the appearance was relatively rough; in 1956, the people's Government of Jinggangshan District, with the support of Suichuan County Government, changed the brick and wood structure of the memorial tower into reinforced concrete structure; on the top of the tower, a reinforced concrete statue of Red Army soldiers with steel guns was rebuilt; the top of the tower was upright Face is the original Suichuan middle school Wang instructor handwritten "Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower" ten characters. Since the 1950s, the tower has become the main image symbol to publicize Jinggangshan at home and abroad.

In 1972, the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Committee organized the workers of the Jinggangshan construction team to remove the statue of Red Army soldiers on the top of the tower, and expanded the bottom of the tower to a square of 5.5 m x 5.5 M. the height of the tower is 11 M. the four sides of the tower are inlaid with ten characters of concave "Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower". The whole base of the tower covers an area of 103 square meters. The front of the tower is connected with the tombs of the Red Army martyrs. It is paved with concrete floor and steps. The pines and cypresses are evergreen and solemn.
