Dabancheng ancient town

--Dabancheng ancient town is located at the foot of Tianshan Mountain, at the southern end of Dabancheng basin, which is the boundary between northern and southern Xinjiang. It has been a must pass of the Silk Road since ancient times.

--The ancient town is a famous tuyere. There are strong winds in spring, autumn and winter. Only in summer, the climate is suitable and the breeze blows on the face. It's comfortable, so you must come here in summer.

--It is precisely because of the long-term wind that the crooked neck tree, one of the unique "three monsters" of Dabancheng, also known as "saber tree" and "wind tree", has formed here.

Traffic information: Dabancheng ancient town is located about 100 kilometers southeast of Urumqi. You can take bus or self driving car from Urumqi.

Bus: there is a bus to Dabancheng at Huanghe Road suburban passenger station in Urumqi. Take a local taxi or tricycle to Baishui town in Dabancheng. You can see it on the east side of the expressway from Urumqi to Turpan, Chaiwopu lake and Hami.
