The ancient city of danger in Huangyuan, Qinghai Province is known as "the throat of Tibet" and "the capital of tea and horse merchants". Tangar, the Mongolian transliteration of Tibetan "dongke'er", which means "white conch", is located on the North Bank of the Yellow River, the coast of the West Sea and the source of Huangshui River, 40 kilometers away from Xining city. Dangar ancient city

Huozu Pavilion

Huozu pavilion was built in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty to commemorate the God of fire, Emperor Yan. It has a history of more than 200 years. The main building is 14 meters high and the building area is 202 square meters. In 1982, it was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit, known as "the first Pavilion in the upper reaches of Huangshui River", and has become a landmark of the ancient city of dangar.

Fengsheng Street

Fengsheng street is located outside the ancient city of dangar. Because there were so many shops in the ancient city that it could not accommodate more merchants, a commercial street was built outside the city. It is also a witness of the prosperity of Commerce and trade in the ancient city. In 732 ad, the first tea horse market on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau was set up in Riyue mountain. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the trading place of tea horse market was gradually transferred to the ancient city of dangar. According to historical records, during the reign of Daoguang in Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, the annual turnover reached 2.5 million taels of silver, six to seven times more than that of Xining Prefecture. In 1924, the commercial trade reached its peak. There were more than 1000 merchants and handicrafts in the city, with more than 5000 employees. The total amount of silver trade reached more than 5 million taels. The merchants gathered and the trade was prosperous. The ancient city of tangar was also known as "the commercial capital around the sea" and "little Beijing", becoming an important trade town and a distribution center of livestock products in the western region.

Spring gate

There are two gates in the ancient city of dangar, the west gate is called Gonghai gate, and the east gate is called Yingchun gate. "Yingchun" appropriately expresses people's desire for the recovery of all things and the welcome of visitors from all over the world. Niangpi: Yuepi is a traditional snack with strong local flavor in Huangyuan. Yuepi is made of wheat flour mixed with a certain amount of pomace and dressing, mixed into hard dough with warm water, and then continuously rubbed in cold water to wash out the starch. Yogurt: Huangyuan is located in the semi farming and semi pastoral area where agriculture and animal husbandry meet, and has the habit of eating yogurt. In particular, the yoghurt specially made by the Hui compatriots in Dongguan of dangar city is very special. It is white as fat, tender and delicious, cool and slightly sour. Dog pouring urine: it is a pancake fried with rapeseed. Before the 1950s, local residents often used small clay pots on kitchen stoves to hold rapeseed oil. When they baked pancakes, they poured oil along the edge of the pot with a small oil pot, just like a dog urinating at the root of the wall, so it was called "dog pouring urine". In the 2010 World Expo, dog pouring urine was used as a Qinghai flavor snack to participate in the World Expo, which was changed to "Qinghai" because of its indecent name Cabbage pie.

Mutton miscellany soup: it has strong fragrance and is not greasy. It can not only nourish the body, endure hunger, but also resist cold. "Miscellany" is made of "water". "Shuishui" refers to the head, hoof and viscera of cattle, sheep and other livestock. After steaming and rotting, adding seasoning, the "Shuishui" is chopped and put into a bowl, sprinkled with garlic, green coriander (coriander) and other seasonings, and poured with the original juice and soup.
