Tower Park
The Iron Tower Park is named after the existing iron tower (Kaibao temple tower), covering an area of 51.24 hectares. It is one of the 100 famous parks in China and a national AAAA scenic spot.
The tower is known as "the first tower in the world". It was built in 1049 A.D. with a height of 55.88 meters and 13 octagonal stories. It is called the tower because it is covered with brown glazed bricks and looks like cast iron.
Over the past nine hundred years since its completion, the tower has been standing tall after wars, floods, earthquakes and other disasters.
There are dozens of scenic spots in the Tower Park, among which the newly opened light and shadow show of the tower attracts many tourists to stop and watch.

History of scenic spots
The area around the iron tower was a Buddhist temple in ancient times. It was first built in 559, the 10th year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty, and was known as a solitary temple.
In 729, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty issued an edict to change the temple of living alone into Fengchan temple.
In the Northern Song Dynasty, Zhao Kuangyin changed his name to Kaibao temple in 970, the third year of Kaibao.
Kaibao temple has disappeared because of wars and floods of the Yellow River.
In 1955, the area around the tower was opened up as the Tower Park;
In 1961, the Tower Park was promulgated by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit;

iron tower
The tower was built in 1049, the first year of Huangyou in the Northern Song Dynasty, with a history of nearly a thousand years. Located in the northeast of the Tower Park, it is an important cultural relic and a major scenic spot in the park. It is one of the first batch of national key protected cultural relics announced by China in 1961 and enjoys the title of "the first tower in the world". The tower is 55.88 meters high and has 13 stories. Therefore, the site is called Kaibao temple, also known as "Kaibao Temple Pagoda". Since Yuan Dynasty, it has been called "iron tower" by the people. Its design is exquisite, completely adopting the traditional Chinese wooden structure. The brick of the tower is decorated with dozens of patterns, such as flying unicorn, Jile, etc. the bricks are like axe chisels, with mortise and groove, and closely jointed. Over the past nine hundred years since its completion, it still stands through war, flood, earthquake and other disasters.
Reception hall
The reception hall is in front of the iron tower. It is made of imitation white marble. It is a three door archway style imitation Song Dynasty building. It is 70 meters wide and 12 meters high. On the left and right walls of the gate, eight solemn, solemn and holy statues of the blue stone Buddha are symmetrically inlaid. It was built in 1986 to worship the "reception Buddha", a cultural relic of the Northern Song Dynasty. In front of the hall, stone lions are majestic and the tripod is fragrant. Around the hall, 24 pillars hold the hall. The platform of the hall is protected by bluestone railings and surrounded by 96 interesting little lions.
Inspiration house
Located next to the reception hall, the inspiration courtyard is built for worshiping white jade Buddha statues. The white jade Buddha statue of Sakyamuni in the main hall was donated by overseas Chinese living in Myanmar in 1933. The Buddha statue, about 1 meter high, is carved from the whole piece of white jade. It is beautiful, dignified, crystal clear and bright. It can be called a good product.
Bonsai garden
Bonsai garden, built in 1994, is a professional bonsai garden with the largest area, scale, quantity and variety in Henan Province. With Jiangnan garden style, pavilions, corridors, waterside pavilions, small bridges and flowing water, it is one of the important scenic spots in the Iron Tower Park.
He gongxuan
He gongxuan is located on the island in the middle of the tower lake. In 1997, he Rongjia, a British Chinese, donated it to commemorate his ancestor, he Li, who was prime minister at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty.
Paradise world memorial archway
The Elysian archway is 8 meters high and 15 meters long. The Elysian archway with three doors and four pillars is 100 meters in front of the leading hall. It stands on the main road of the park. The top of the front door and the center of the back are engraved with the words "paradise" and "Cihang Pudu" respectively.

The light and shadow show of iron tower is a large-scale night cultural tourism project built by Kaifeng Municipal government. It is a new business card of Kaifeng tourism and a new landmark of cultural tourism in Henan Province. The light and shadow show of the iron tower uses 4D imaging, holographic technology, architectural projection, water screen film, laser modeling and other means. Through mechanical means such as fragrant fog, it takes the ethereal and holy theme music as the background, so that the audience's sense of smell, under the effect of a touch of fragrance, can feel the Dharma and taste the joys and sorrows. The light and shadow show is divided into four chapters: "listening to Zen, summer lotus, autumn dew, and Ten Thousand Buddhas returning to their ancestral home". The whole play outlines the beautiful, intelligent and bright color of the Buddhist paradise of the iron tower. The dream of Zen shows the elegant, atmospheric and serene high-quality night image of the iron tower. It is a model of the combination of classical and modern, tradition and fashion.
Chrysanthemum flower fair
From October 18 to November 18, every year at this time, the streets and alleys of Kaifeng are full of colorful chrysanthemums, red, yellow, purple and white, which decorate Kaifeng into a sea of flowers. The main exhibition sites of the flower fair are Longting, Tianbo Yangfu, China Hanyuan stele forest, Iron Tower Park, daxiangguo temple, Baogong temple, yuwangtai, Wansui mountain, etc., with more than 100 chrysanthemum varieties on display. During the flower festival, various economic and trade activities will be carried out to make people understand Kaifeng.
