History of cultural relics

Yingchengzi mural tomb is located in the south of Shagang village, Yingchengzi District, Dalian city. It is a brick chamber tomb in the Eastern Han Dynasty. When the Japanese built the railway in 1931, they found that it had been damaged. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, a large house was built outside the tomb to protect it. There are steps up and down in the room for viewing.

The tomb has a large scale, and the style of architecture and mural has its own characteristics. The middle is the main room, and the outer cover is a large set of rooms. There are also front room, back room and east room outside the suite, which are connected with each other. There is a graveway to the south. There are ring-shaped, pinnate and checkered patterns on the bricks, and they are coated with vermilion powder. The murals are painted on the East, South and North walls of the main room. North wall painting tomb owner ascends to heaven. The master is in the middle, with a sword and a crown. There is an old man in front of him and a waiter behind him. There is a feather man in the air opposite, stepping on the cloud to meet him. It is painted with rosefinch and green dragon, flying from left to right. There were three people looking at the sky for sacrifice, one fell, one knelt and one stood. The East and south walls are painted with clouds, rosefinches, monsters and pawns. Various images are outlined with ink lines, and add vermilion, ochre red color, each state, quite vivid. It is of great value to understand the living conditions of aristocratic families at that time and to study the early painting art of our country.
