Model worker Park

Model worker Park, namely Dalian model worker Park, is located in Jinxiu community, Shahekou District, Dalian city. In order to make outstanding contributions to the industrial development of Dalian, Dalian Municipal People's government built the present model worker Park in front of the model worker building on the eve of May 1 International Labor Day in 2006.

About the park

In the modern history of Dalian industry, many people have made outstanding contributions to the development of Dalian. Especially in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, 18 national labor models emerged in Dalian. Many of them were received by Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou, president Zhu and other party and state leaders, which has become an indelible flash in the development history of Dalian. With the passage of time, the model workers have gradually left their jobs. In order to recognize their outstanding contributions to the industrial development of Dalian, from 1997 to 2003, Dalian municipal government successively built five model workers' buildings in Jinxiu residential area, and placed 150 national, provincial and municipal model workers. On the eve of May 1 International Labor Day in 2006, Dalian municipal government set up the present model worker Park in front of the model worker building. As a result, the model worker building and the model worker park have become a unique landscape in Dalian.

Park composition

The model worker park is composed of a corridor of model worker's deeds and a circular park. A 35 meter long corridor of model worker's deeds is set up on both sides of the park. The refined language describes the extraordinary deeds of model workers in their ordinary life. The relief of "Eight Immortals crossing the sea" in the hospital means that model workers show their hands in different positions and show their abilities. In addition, the park also adds facilities such as pavilions.

Model worker Pavilion: the model worker Pavilion is located on the west side of the model worker park. It was built in 2006. Its main height is 5 meters. It is used for residents to enjoy the cool and keep fit. The management unit is the sand District Garden Management Office.
