Shugang Xifeng ecological park is located at the intersection of Yangzi Jiangbei Road and pingshantang road. It is a free open park suitable for leisure, picnics and play. Shugang West Peak is located in Shugang Yishou West Lake scenic area, with a total planning area of 1000 mu, and the vast majority of the planning area is for Agricultural Science Institute. In 2003, Yangzhou municipal government invested more than 100 million yuan in land replacement with the Institute of Agricultural Sciences. At the end of the year, the biochemical plant, research laboratory, bathroom, vegetable farm and 23 farms of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences were relocated for the construction of Shugang Xifeng ecological park. The total construction area of the first phase project is 400000 square meters.

Introduction to scenic spots

The construction of the park is mainly based on greening, suitable trees for the site, reasonable collocation, planting a large number of local tree species, while taking into account the introduction of adaptive and ornamental tree species, so as to ensure the stable growth of greening plants and create a beautiful landscape. The construction was carried out on the basis that the original ecological environment was not damaged, and 72 species of plants were added, totaling more than 600000 plants. And in the park using solar lighting, to further highlight the design concept of ecological park. Focusing on the cultural characteristics of Yangzhou, the park closely combines Yangzhou's history and culture with the public open space of modern city, restores the famous historical scenic spots baguatang and yugouting, and makes Shutong Xifeng ecological park the continuation and sublimation of the historical context of Shugang thin West Lake National key scenic spot.
