Baweiqiao Che You wetland is located in the Weihe River beach area to the east of the entrance of Bahe River to Weihe River in Xi'an City, 8.6km away from Xi'an north railway station. The wetland retains the original ecological appearance of the beach area, diverts the Bahe River into the low-lying area, forming 20 lakes of different sizes, with a water surface of 2400 mu. Wetland is rich in wild species, including hundreds of aquatic animals and plants. Wetland existing tourist service center, birdwatching house, wooden plank road, parking lot, cruise terminal and other service facilities. The 13 km two-way sightseeing line connects the wetland landscape, and tourists can drive around the wetland. There are 24 parking lots in the wetland, including 14 paved parking lots and 10 simple parking lots to facilitate parking of self driving vehicles. There are two viewing channels, East and West, with a length of nearly 3 km, to meet the needs of tourists' Bibo boating experience.

Introduction to scenic spots

Baweiqiao Che You wetland was officially opened to the public on August 19, 2016. It is full of water, green willow, grass and wood, adding a good place for people's leisure. It is reported that as the first car tour of the wetland in China, tourists can drive on the 13 km sightseeing road and enter the wetland free of charge. The ticket is 15 yuan per person.

Baweiqiao Che You wetland is located in the Weihe River beach area to the east of the entrance of Bahe River to Weihe River in Xi'an City, 8.6km away from Xi'an north railway station. It is adjacent to Bahe River in the west, Gaoling in the East, Jinghe Industrial Park in the north and Weihe River landscape belt in the south, with a total length of 5.5 km from east to west and an average width of 0.8 km from north to south, covering a total area of 6600 mu. Wetland has the functions of purifying water body, conserving water source and repairing floodplain. It is a classic work for Xi'an to build "sponge city" and implement "eight water moistening Xi'an" project.

Main attractions

From west to East, the wetland is divided into three areas: Wetland recreation area, wetland reconstruction area and bird ecological area. Wetland play area is located in the west of wetland, west of Weiyi Road, covering an area of about 2900 mu, with water play as the theme. Tourists can swim in the water by boat at the wharf to experience the charm of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River in northern China; they can also stroll along the hydrophilic plank road, enjoy the green lotus and see the setting sun.

Wetland reconstruction area is located in the middle of the wetland, between Weiyi road and Weier Road, covering an area of about 1900 mu, with the theme of exploring wild interest. With winding waterways, scattered islands and flourishing aquatic plants such as wild reeds, it is the best place for citizens to relax and get close to nature.

Bird ecological zone is located in the east of wetland, east of Wei'Er Road, covering an area of about 1800 mu, with the theme of bird watching. The wetland is rich in vegetation, attracting a large number of birds such as egrets, pelicans, grey cranes, wild ducks and so on.

Baweiqiao wetland, as the first car tour wetland in China, has a vast water area, flocks of migratory birds, floating reeds and beautiful scenery. With its unique original ecological landscape and comfortable self driving sightseeing mode, it attracts tourists from all over the country. It is known as Baiyangdian Lake in the west, comparable to Shahu lake.

Self driving route 1: caotan No.7 Road, caotan No.4 Road, Zhuhong Road, Shanghong Road, Mingguang Road, Hedi Road on the South Bank of Weihe River, 8 km eastward to wetland.

Self driving route 2: Airport special Expressway Shanghong road toll station, get off the expressway, go to Hedi Road on the South Bank of Weihe River, 8 km eastward to wetland.

Self driving route 3: Bahe east road goes north to the wetland.
