Yao Jianping is the third generation descendant of Suzhou embroidery and the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project (Suzhou embroidery). She has been awarded the master of folk arts and crafts by UNESCO. Her embroidery works have won the gold award of China International Folk Art Expo and the highest honor award of "Shanhua Award" of Folk Art Expo, and are treasured by art museums and collectors all over the world. Yao Jianping inherits and develops Shen Shou's embroidery art. Her embroidery embodies the unique artistic style of Suzhou embroidery, which is "exquisite, delicate, elegant and clean". In 2004, she founded Yao Jianping embroidery art museum in Mudu, with a collection of more than 100 embroidery treasures. Yao Jianping embroidery art museum is located in Gusong garden, the former residence of CAI Shaoyu, a wealthy man in the late Qing Dynasty.

In 1997, she was awarded the title of "folk craft artist" by UNESCO, and has won wide attention at home and abroad. Yao Jianping embroidery art museum is located in the third commercial street of ligongdi in the scenic area of Jinji Lake. With an area of more than 500 square meters, the art museum is divided into boutique exhibition area and art sales area, which can meet the needs of customers and visitors for embroidery art visit, appreciation, shopping, exchange and other aspects. It is a window for Yao Jianping's boutique embroidery art exhibition and foreign art exchange. The main works on display in the museum include the giant representative works "so many beautiful rivers and mountains", "the Chinese dream of the 100 year Olympic Games", as well as the embroidery works created by referring to the masterpieces of famous artists, such as "father", "Mona Lisa", etc.
