Suyuan Park

Located in the residential area of Suyuan new village, Renmin South Road, Suzhou, covering an area of nearly 15 mu, it is a recreation park built by Wu County Government in 1990.

About the park

The design of the gate of the park is quite ingenious. It integrates management, selling goods and grape veranda. The shape is simple, the composition is rigorous, and the space is changeable. It is not only a prelude to the park, but also a transition between the residential area and the park space. The entrance is a small courtyard of more than 100 square meters, leading to the recreation area and children's paradise respectively.

Surrounding buildings

East through the Fenqiang Dongmen, facing the pool water across, the north end of the pool water curved corridor, Wanyi and Pinxiang do linked. Pinxiangju is located in the north facing south, with light eaves, long windows of crabapple on the ground, pink walls on the north side of the house, and moon gate leading to children's paradise. Pinxiangju is a popular restaurant for tasting local snacks with simple and generous interior decoration. From the south of pinxiangju, we can see the tea room of hehuantang located on the beach. The North corridor of Hehuan hall is suspended in the water, and the west corridor bridge is flying rainbow. It is connected with the curved corridor along the river in the west of the garden. The southwest Yi Pavilion is built across the river. The half Pavilion is used to explore the water, and the corridor is connected with each other. There are two small bridges in the east of the beach connecting the middle of the park. On the West Bank of the pool between pinxiangju and Hehuan hall, there is a stone alum protruding into the pool water under the corridor. On the upper part of the pool, there is a small pavilion with four corners. Under the eaves, four moon holes are inlaid in the four wall walls. With the water surface as a contrast, you can see "an inch of land, a day, a dry ancient moon, five winds and ten rains, four seasons and spring". When you enter the pavilion, you can see the scenery in front of you. On the other side of the Square Pavilion, the hills are uplifted, and the Yellowstone wall is erect, which is as powerful as an axe. An exquisite hexagonal pavilion is built on the top of the cliff. There are only five acres of gardens in the west, with elegant landscape. The eastern Chinese fir forest is another scene. The terrain is slightly undulating. The trees and shrubs are clustered into forests. The lawn is broad and green, and the streams are clear. It's comforting.
