Dinglin Villa

Dinglin mountain villa is located in the east of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum in Zhongshan scenic area of Zijin Mountain, Xuanwu District, Nanjing city. It passes through the entrance of the "Zixia Wonderland" archway and is about 300 meters along the shady stone road. On the left side, it is a classical garden style building complex. The buildings are well laid out and elegant. They are all antique and simple. They have a traditional structure and style. They are all made of brick, tile and wood. They are built according to the historical and cultural landscape of Wang Anshi reading place of Dinglin temple in the Northern Song Dynasty.

Construction background

In order to preserve the historical and cultural landscape of Zhongshan Mountain more than 800 years ago, the Zhongshan Cemetery Administration started construction near the old site in 1982 with self raised funds, 10 years later, until the completion of the construction project in 1992.

The first phase of the project is three high open buildings, some of which are similar to ancient halls, with a total area of about 800 square meters. Every time I enter the hospital, I plant different valuable flowers, trees and lawns. Now the third entrance hall still imitates the "zhaowenzhai" of that year. Under the eaves of the wooden structure, the plaque is still named "zhaowenzhai", which is inscribed with three running script characters, collecting Mi Fu's ink in the ancient stele. The couplets on both sides use the famous sentence in Wang Anshi's poem "the spring breeze is green on the South Bank of the river, when will the moon shine on me?" and collect the ink left in Su Shi's ancient stele. The running script is engraved in the shade, so that visitors can never get tired of reading it for a long time and cherish the past and encourage the present. On the left and right sides of Zhaizhong are the famous palace paintings of Song Dynasty, such as "the painting of ink dragon", "the painting of scenery in autumn", "the painting of supporting Li" and "the painting of farming and weaving". The picture of Wang Anshi wearing a hat and belt is hanging in the middle. The interior furnishings are elegant and clean, imitating the Song Dynasty style tables, chairs, bookcases and so on. The back of the studio is a garden.

The buildings of Dinglin villa are hidden in the ancient wood forest. Looking at the wall door, the word "Dinglin" is engraved on it, imitating the ink of patriotic poet Lu You of Song Dynasty. The appearance of small tile, white wall, flower window, kiss ridge, and flower window is very attractive. On the left and right sides of the wooden door is a stele gallery. On the wall of the gallery are 44 pieces of Qinglongshan stone inscriptions, 90 cm long and 55 cm high. The inscriptions are 100 poems left by Wang Anshi to Zhong Shan. They are composed by famous calligraphers all over the country, such as Shao Yu, Zhang Aiping, Zhou Erfu, Liu Junchuan, Fei Xinwo, Zhou Zhigao, AI xinjueluo Qixiang, Ouyang Zhongshi, Wang Xiangzhi, song LiZong (Taiwan), Li Banli Geng Zhongdian, Su Shi, etc. each wrote one. When you enter the second entrance corridor, you can get together to drink tea and look around by the fence. It's the best place for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of dense shade, light, water, mountain and spring. The cloisters, pavilions, small bridges and rest halls are exquisitely arranged and compact in structure. Corridor Pavilion, pavilion connecting hall, left to right, winding path to seclusion, title scenery, plaque, couplets, inscriptions, calligraphy and painting, etc., make people read sound, taste.
