Fangcheng minglou
Fangcheng minglou is a building in front of the tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has a square platform at the bottom, a minglou at the top and a posthumous monument of Zhongli temple at the bottom.
This style started from the Ming mausoleum in Fengyang, Anhui Province. The mausoleum has three walls inside and outside, one to the wall in the middle, and four gates, such as the city tower, are called the north, South, East, West Ming tower respectively. From the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum in Nanjing, it was changed into a Ming tower. Since then, the Ming and Qing mausoleums have generally followed the Ming Xiaoling Fangcheng Ming tower. (special case: Emperor Daoguang did not build Ming tower) the square piers and abutments made of brick and stone at the lower part are "Fangcheng", and the stele tower with double eaves and Xieshan at the upper part is "Ming tower"
