Located at No.50 Jianzi lane, laomen East, Qinhuai District, Nanjing, Jinling art museum is an art museum integrating exhibition, collection and research. The overall plan is designed by a famous Chinese designer, whose design concept is to reasonably adjust the internal structure and make full use of space on the basis of maintaining the old appearance of the industrial heritage, so as to adapt to the modern display mode, and integrate the regional cultural characteristics into the architectural appearance.

The Museum covers an area of 6000 square meters, with an actual exhibition area of 3000 square meters and five exhibition halls. It is equipped with lecture hall, bookstore, art shop, gallery, reference room, coffee shop and other special spaces. It can meet the needs of different exhibitions and activities, serve the surrounding public and local artists, and build an ideal platform for communication with the outside world. It has become an important cultural landmark in Nanjing and even Jiangsu Province .

Construction background

Jinling Art Museum, subordinate to Nanjing Municipal Bureau of culture, broadcasting and information technology, is a new public welfare cultural institution invested by Nanjing municipal government to promote the protection and revival of historical culture in the south of the city and welcome the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. Jinling art museum is an old factory reconstruction project of "one academy and two museums" approved by the municipal Party committee and government. The project consists of three parts: Nanjing painting and Calligraphy Academy, Jinling Art Museum and memory Museum of the old city south.

Architectural design

Jinling art museum is located in Jianzi lane, laomen East, Qinhuai District, Nanjing (the former Nanjing yarn dyed factory). The overall plan is designed by a famous Chinese designer. After the transformation, it will be a multi-storey building with four main floors and five local floors. Its design concept is to maintain the old appearance of the industrial heritage, reasonably adjust the internal structure, make full use of space, to adapt to the modern display mode; the architectural appearance is integrated into the regional cultural characteristics, in which the "dou" shape of the skin is the deep artistic abstraction of the Jiangnan streets, and the perforated form of the aluminum plate of the skin echoes the brick texture style of the houses in the east of the city They are naturally and harmoniously integrated into their humanistic environment.
