In 1928, the government of the Republic of China built the Institute of Meteorology and Meteorological Observatory of Academia Sinica at the site of the Ancient Observatory, which is now the location of the meteorological science and technology business center of Jiangsu Province. The history of observing the clouds and measuring the sky in the Arctic pavilion has lasted for thousands of years and is rich in profound meteorological culture.
