Mosuo Museum

Mosuo museum is located in boshu village, Luguhu Town, Yanyuan County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, next to the original Mosuo Tusi mansion site. It is backed by the Castle Peak and facing the ten thousand mu grass sea of Lugu Lake, with a beautiful environment. It covers an area of 80 mu, with a construction area of 4500 square meters. Mosuo museum is the only special museum in China and the world that systematically displays Mosuo's history, culture and folk customs.

Mosuo museum is an important part of Mosuo homeland construction and protection. The architectural design fully reflects the traditional Mosuo cultural elements. It is divided into exhibition hall, cultural relics warehouse, cultural relics protection technology place, academic exchange area, public service area and office area. Mosuo museum was completed at the beginning of 2013, and the exhibition began in June 2013. The exhibition area consists of three parts: preface hall, Mosuo folk custom exhibition hall and special exhibition hall (Tusi system, Lamaism and Mosuo intangible cultural heritage). The exhibition area is 2300 square meters. The cultural relics include stone tools, bronzes, pottery, Tusi relics, Mosuo folk cultural relics, etc.
