QIANGDUI Temple
Ningma Temple of Tibetan Buddhism is located in Wuya Township, Xinlong County, Ganzi County, Sichuan Province. In the 28th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1291), zhidaozhan, the Renqing Lama of baiyugatuo temple, preached to the local people and built a temple in wenglege, which was later destroyed by war. After Qiangdui, xiraojianze went to Beijing with one of the eight ancestors of Gaju, Gama quzajiacuo, to pay homage. He tied an iron spear into a knot in front of the emperor of Yuan Dynasty. The emperor praised it very much and named it "Zhan Dui Ben Chong" (meaning the official who tied the iron knot). After returning to Xinlong's hometown, the temple was rebuilt and expanded.
