Yongning Temple Tower Base

Yongning Temple tower base is located about 15 kilometers east of Luoyang City in Henan Province. A large number of clay Buddha statues and supporting man-made statues have been unearthed from the tower base of Yongning Temple in the Northern Wei Dynasty, which are more delicate and lifelike than the grotto statues of the same period. They are treasures of ancient sculpture in China.
